hum-sar is an ongoing conversation between Butt and Faisal. Co-founded in 2021, it is a space where individual identities blur into a collective voice.
Our work comes from a place we both know well: dealing with grief, navigating and living with the constant feeling of not quite fitting in anywhere. Instead of looking for a home or trying to force ourselves into spaces that don’t fit, we use our practice to sit with these feelings together. Through our projects, we want to see how shared isolation and loss can actually become a way to connect and make together.
